The Director-General expresses her distress following the second powerful earthquake in Nepal and the rising death toll | United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization: " wish to express my deepest sympathy to the government and the people of Nepal at this difficult time”, said Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO. "Our thoughts are with the people of Nepal and neighboring countries, particularly the families of those killed and injured", she added."
