OKStrong fund raises $4.6 million for May 2013 tornado victims' long-term needs - Tulsa World: News: OKLAHOMA CITY — The OKStrong Disaster Relief Fund raised $4.6 million in pledges and donations, Gov. Mary Fallin announced at a press conference at the Oklahoma Capitol on Wednesday.
Fallin created the fund in partnership with the United Way of Central Oklahoma to assist with the long-term medical, emotional and educational needs of May 2013 tornado victims.

Gators found nonprofit, Projects for Haiti, to help brighten future of Haiti schools - The Independent Florida Alligator: Local & National: he inseparable duo started a nonprofit, Projects for Haiti, during their junior year at UF after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
For them, making a difference through donations only was not enough to help Albert’s country. Albert, a graduate student in Latin American studies, and Zelaya, a UF alumnus, are now inspiring Haitian teachers to make a difference one student at a time.
