Disaster Relief from a Classroom - Wharton Journal - News: "Following last January's earthquake in Haiti, a group of WG10 students came together to figure out how to best respond and assist in the rebuilding process as MBAs. What began as an effort to contribute to the supply chain and logistics planning for the delivery of prosthetic limbs to crush victim amputees grew into a much larger Wharton effort.
After the spring semester ended, last year's group, which included Haitian-American Fritz Charles, WG'11, took a trip to Port-au-Prince to visit some of the organizations that are on the ground. Fritz states, 'It was a remarkable trip. It's one thing to watch the suffering on CNN, it's another is to see it in person. Truly a humbling experience. ' The visits included the US Joint Task Force base in Port-au-Prince, MediShare/Univ Miami Hospital tent hospital, and Sean Penn's tent camp."
