channelonline.tv - News, Weather & Information for the Channel Islands - Prince of Wales sends his thanks: "The leader of the British Red Cross in Jersey has been asked by the Prince of Wales to thank everyone who made a donation to the charity's Haiti Appeal.
Andrew Baudains was introduced to Prince Charles, the President of the British Red Cross, at a private Mansion House reception in London, hosted by the Lord Mayor.
Afterwards Mr Baudains said Prince Charles had been particularly impressed to hear that islanders handed over �6,000 in just a few hours on the first day of the appeal. Jersey's total donation was �145,000.
Mr Baudains was introduced to the Prince because of Jersey's outstanding contribution."
