Minister of Foreign Affairs Noppadol Pattama stated that Thailand was contacted by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon to open itself up as a center for relief efforts to Myanmar. He asked that Thailand be the headquarters to receive foreign aid aimed towards Myanmar, which Thailand has agreed to."
