Canadian charity GlobalMedic working in Philippines to prevent secondary disaster after Typhoon Haiyan | KNLive: We’re focused on getting them clean drinking water,” says Rahul Singh, founder and executive director of GlobalMedic, an organization dedicated to helping people get water in areas of devastation. The groups have teams on the ground in the Philippines who have water purification systems and tablets. “People are vulnerable – they lost their shelter – and we don’t want them to get sick. We want to avoid catastrophe.”
