Tapping into the $20-million disaster-relief reserve fund, the American Red Cross has begun what it says is its largest response in history for a single U.S. natural disaster to help cope with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, a hurricane that cut across the tip of Florida late last week before battering states along the Gulf Coast Monday."
