As the hurricane toll rises, U.S. businesses showing their altruism likely will have pledged more than $100 million in disaster aid by the end of this week, the
U.S. Chamber of Commerce said Wednesday.

'The pace is unbelievably fast for this early stage,' says Steve Jordan, executive director of the chamber's Center for Corporate Citizenship, adding that the rate of giving 'dwarfs contributions to other hurricanes.'"
