2 local groups to host benefit for oil clean-up | TimesDaily.com | The Times Daily | Florence, AL: "ocal environmentalists and concerned residents are invited Thursday to commiserate — with checkbooks in hand — over the biggest U.S. oil spill in the Gulf coast.

The Shoals Environmental Alliance and Wild South will cohost a benefit for the Alabama Coastal Foundation — a non-profit organization of Fairhope that is enlisting and training volunteers to help the clean-up effort on the Alabama coast that has been impacted from an oil rig that exploded 78 days ago."
