North Alabama leaders are making sure we are prepared in the event of another disaster.
Leaders purchased more resources, including first response haulers.
'This is not the first disaster we've seen. It won't be the last one,' said Dale Strong, Madison County Commissioner.
April 27th, more than 350 houses were damaged or destroyed by tornados that hit Madison County.
Emergency crews relied on disaster trailers equipped with backup generators due to no power.
'We found these disaster trailers benefited greatly the people of this county,' said Strong."

MSMO: Repaying the love through disaster relief - Florida Baptist Witness: "Within days of the tornado’s fury, Florida Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers arrived, ready to lend their hearts and hands to those in unfathomable need.
Knowing that Richard’s house would be condemned, several male volunteers began their chainsaw work on downed trees while a four-woman team began to pick their way through the rubble, searching for anything that could be salvaged."
