WNBC will air a live one-hour Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund Drive on Wednesday, Aug. 31, that will help raise money for people devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Held in conjunction with the AMERICAN RED CROSS, WNBC's 'Hurricane Relief' will air commercial-free at 7 p.m. ET.

The Fund Drive will be broadcast live from WNBC's Studio 6B in New York City, and will be hosted by the station's lead anchors Chuck Scarborough and Sue Simmons. Anchor Perri Peltz will be reporting live from the RED CROSS phone bank in the Upper West Side, and will be joined by a growing host of celebrities who will appear throughout the show to help support the relief efforts."
