YUBA CITY -- The totality of damage from Hurricane Katrina still unfolds, but three Northern California volunteers are already in the southeast lending a helping hand.

Yuba City residents Bill Vickrey and Michael Hardesty and Butte County resident Terry Hohmann, wife of Red Cross Three Rivers Chapter Emergency Services Director Keith Hohmann, headed east to help Floridians affected by Katrina's first swipe Aug. 25."
