How One Activist Raised over $36,000 for Disaster Relief on Causes: "Scott went on to Causes and created a cause for disaster relief in Alabama, selecting his local Red Cross, the Mid-Alabama Chapter, as the recipient of his fundraising efforts. According to Scott, about “50% of all donations after a disaster occur within the first 24 hours,” so it was imperative that he take action quickly. Within just 10 minutes, Scott had created a Cause, and within 24 hours he had raised over $10,000 for disaster relief."

Haga will ensure the funds are provided directly to the relief effort in Fukushima through the purchase of goods in Fukushima which will then be provided to relief workers and earthquake and tsunami victims.
