Liquor magnate Sidney Frank '42 - already the largest donor in Brown's history - will give the University $5 million to support its Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, President Ruth Simmons announced at Opening Convocation Tuesday.

This just goes to prove that philanthropist does not equal smart. Brown University? $% million for disaster relief?

PUHHLEASE! Would someone at the university explain how disaster relief fits into their priority list?

While many thousands suffer, this money will languish in committee. What a waste...
