New Myanmar guidelines will not hamper relief efforts: Asean: "Following a meeting with Myanmar Minister of Social Welfare Brigadier General Maung Maung Swe in Yangon, Myanmar on Saturday, Asean Secretary-General Dr Surin Pitsuwan said he was given assurance by the minister that the guiding principles on foreign assistance recently, issued by the Government of Myanmar, would not hamper the relief efforts of the Asean-led coordination mechanism."
