To Reach 10,000 Bikes, DOT Looks to Sponsorships, Sandy Recovery Loan | Streetsblog New York City: New York would not be the first city to receive an SBA loan for bike-share, though it would probably be the first to apply disaster recovery funds. In Chicago, SBA provided a $350,000 loan to a 100-bike program operated by B-cycle, which is now closed and being replaced by the larger, Alta-operated Divvy bike-share program this summer.
