Singapore Red Cross commits S$70,000 worth in aid to Fiji cyclone victims - Channel NewsAsia: "SINGAPORE: The Singapore Red Cross (SRC) announced on Friday (Feb 26) that it will distribute US$50,000 (S$70,000) in relief items such as tarpaulin sheets, shelters and hygiene kits to Fiji communities affected by Cyclone Winston.

The category-five super storm last weekend left tens of thousands of Fijians homeless, and killed at least 44.

“We are working closely with the international Red Cross Movement and our partners on-ground to ascertain the immediate to mid-term needs," said SRC Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer Benjamin William."
